Why do your clients pick you?

We go out of our way to make the whole session a great experience; no two sessions are ever the same because we take time to understand our client’s motivation for doing boudoir and try to build a theme around that whenever possible. On the day, we greet our clients with a warm smile and a glass of fine champagne on arrival, we recognise that it’s probably the scariest thing that they’ve ever done and we work hard to alleviate any nerves before we start the photography session. Our hair and makeup artist is very good at putting them at their ease as we transform them ready for their session. Once the photography starts we like to have a bit of a laugh to break any initial tension and I find our clients usually relax into it fairly quickly. We never forget that our clients aren’t models and so don’t know what to do, I usually demonstrate the poses for them first which is usually enough to keep the laughter flowing.

Imagining different themes and settings for future boudoir sessions and looking at different lingerie for a future session is also an indication that you may have an addiction. Another indicator of boudoir addiction is thinking up different reasons to have a boudoir session. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, your birthday, anniversary, Christmas, losing 5 lbs, running a 5k…addicts make up all kinds of excuses.   If one or more of these symptoms occur after your session, immediately schedule another session with Augusta Boudoir, as this is the only known cure.

Warnings For Men:

• Increased Heart Rate: If your wife had a recent boudoir session, you are at risk for irregular or fast heartbeat when looking at her pictures. If this occurs, put down the pictures and call your wife immediately for assistance.

• Increase in body temperature: It’s true, boudoir sessions may produce steamy conditions inside your house which cause your body temperature to rise and can result in overheating. If this happens, take a cold shower by yourself.

• Excitement: If you experience a tingling feeling, seek immediate assistance from your wife to render aid. But if your excitement lasts longer than 4 hours, then you really might want to call your doctor for help.

My clients often ask me for suggestions on what to wear at their boudoir photo shoots so I thought I would give a few tips here on the blog. I love all three of the outfits below, each for a different reason. The first outfit, besides being gorgeous with all the details of peek-a-boo lace and tiny bows, is also a great choice to cover a bit of a tummy. It’s super sexy without being too revealing, perfect for more modest clients.  The second outfit has amazing fine detail. I also adore the soft colors. While I love black, it’s nice to throw some color in the mix. The last outfit is sheer and in my book see-through is super sexy!
